Autumn in Disguise, Grader, Turning 13 & Lights Out Dresden – The Tunnels – 07/07/11
This turned out to be one of those gigs where the time just flew past, well, that’s what I thought anyway. Four (well matched) bands kicking off on time and all over by half past ten, just perfect for a weeknight, excellent line-up with very swift change-overs and all for five British pounds.
Young bloods Lights Out Dresden started well to an already filling up dancefloor followed by Turning 13 with their brand of indie-punk as good as I’ve ever heard them. Next up is the hardcore intensity that is Grader and a much more serious bit of dancefloor antics by the hardened few. By the time that Autumn in Disguise took to the stage the crowd was just totally up for it and they rounded off a superb night of local music on an absolute high.
Credit to who put this gig on and stage-managed it so it all went pretty smoothly, also thumbs up to Kevin and Badger who I thought did a cracking job at the sound desk (although I was at the very front all the time it sounded grand to me).
