After many years of attending them we’ve finally taken the plunge and organised our first gig in Aberdeen. We see so many bands on our travels so we thought it might be an idea to try and get some of them them to play here. Anyway, our first one is on Sunday the 1st of November at Cafe Drummonds. The bands playing are…
Life on Standby, first seen by us at last years Brew at the Bog and we’re really pleased to get them to come all the way from Greenock to play Aberdeen for the first time. Singer Erin Donnachie fronts a great live show from this young band and we’re sure you wont be disappointed.
The Media Whores. We first saw them supporting Ruts DC in Kirkcaldy and that was enough to convince us to try and add them to a show if we could. They played the Moorings to a decent crowd last year so hopefully we can get the numbers on the dancefloor to keep Aberdeen on their touring lists. A gimmick free but as tight a performance onstage as you’d hope for.
Rumtumtartar, are our local support for the night. Interesting, female fronted, and grungy. Happy to have them on board and play for you.
Double Barrel DJ’s. Keeping you entertained before, during and after the bands with an eclectic selection of tracks that will hopefully set the groove for the evening.
Entry is only £6 and advance tickets can be purchased here.
