Joe Strummer : 21/8/52 – 22/12/02

It’s seven years ago today since I got the news that Joe Strummer had died. It’s my “Kennedy moment”. I clearly remember being sat at my office desk, mouth open in complete disbelief as tears pricked my eyes. Whatever your thoughts of him may be as a man or a musician, and the almost deification of him that has occurred since his death, personally speaking he made a huge difference to my life. I miss him. 1. Couldn’t agree more. After the mighty Pistols..who i was too young for…The Clash were the best thing to happen to music in a young bucks lifetime. I still only have to hear a Clash track and it makes my day.
